This week in Tupper Lake:

June 21st -Farmers’ Market at The Wild Center-
11am-3pm.The weekly Farmers’ Market at the Wild Center opens June 14 and runs on Thursdays through September 13, 11-3. Free and open to the public, no museum admission required. FMNP coupons accepted. Call 518-891-7470 for more information.

June 21st-P-2′s Acoustic Open Mic Night-P-2′s monthly live music event hosted by Jim Boucher featuring local musicians and singer/songwriters. 8pm to 11pm.

June 22nd-Summer Reading Registration-10 AM to noon at the Goff Nelson Library.  Call Linda Auclair for more info.

June 22nd-Black Holes-The program considers how black holes form and the effects an object would experience if it crossed a black hole’s event horizon. Learn the important role black holes play in holding our universe together. What are a black hole’s implications on time travel and the origins of the universe?
Weather permitting, stargazing will follow in the Wild Center’s parking lot after the presentation.  The Wild Center 7-8pm.  Free to the public.

June 23rd-Tupper Lake High School Graduation!  Congrats to all of our graduates.

June 24th-Tupper Lake Paintball Biathlon-The Tupper Lake Paintball Triathlon is for children ages seven to 14. It consists of a 75-yard swim, 1.8 mile bike, half mile run and five paintball shots at a stationary target. An athlete’s overall time is lowered with every sucessful shot at the target. Each participant receives a goodie bag and there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.  Registration begins at 1pm followed for a pre-race meeting at 1:30pm.
