The Tupper Lake Golf Club at 141 Country Club Road was first proposed by W. C. Hull, president of the Oval Wood Dish Corporation, in the summer of 1932. Mr. Hull had the foresight to realize that the era of lumbering was drawing to a close and that in order to survive, the community of Tupper Lake would have to change its emphasis from logging to tourism.
