The Tupper Lake Golf Club at 141 Country Club Road was first proposed by W. C. Hull, president of the Oval Wood Dish Corporation, in the summer of 1932. Mr. Hull had the foresight to realize that the era of lumbering was drawing to a close and that in order to survive, the community of Tupper Lake would have to change its emphasis from logging to tourism.

Located at 92 Park Street, the restaurant is owned and operated by siblings Glenda Reandeau, Julie LaVoy and Mike Reandeau. The trio bought the business from former owners George and Lil Kallasy almost 12 years ago. The restaurant has two employees, plus the owners.

Quilting has always been a traditional Adirondack pastime for many people over the years- first, out of necessity and later, as a creative pastime where folks would gather together to work and talk and sort of lose themselves and forget about the world for a while.
