The Town groomer started out today heading out on the mountmatumbla trail loop.
Just to let all riders know that this trail in a non-destination trail, it is not intended to bring riders to cross the river. The old outlaw trail is blocked off to riders at the land owner’s request. All the trail in Northern Franklin County are now un-gated and ready to go.
SNOWMOBILE IN FRANLIN COUNTY!
Stayed in Tupper Lake the 23rd 24th and 25th. Way too cold to ride on Monday morn. Went out that afternoon, was still -5, but went out anyway. Had a bite to eat, just went 20 miles and stayed close to Tupper. Tuesday much better day to ride. Went down to Long Lake and had some food at the Adirondack Hotel. Great food but the riding was even better. Trails were terrific and the tracks were in good shpae too.
The Franklin County Groomer made it’s way into Tupper today. It looks like they went all the way to Piercefield crossing. The trails are really getting nice. The rails seem to be ready.
Thanks for dropping off the “Tupper Lake — Winter Businesses” Map. We’ll see that all the guests here at Shaheen’s Motel get access to these maps. We really appreciate your encouragement for bringing this winter traffic to Tupper Lake!
The snowmobile trails in southern and northern franklin county are still in good shape. The lakes are off limits so please stay on all groomed trails.
To many riders went down this year so please use caution out there.
Next year i would like to see a snowmobile fest in TUPPER LAKE this would really help in getting us known as a destination, show riders what TUPPER has to offer,it’s time to tap this resourse. What do you think…………

I started out of oldforge on Monday march 4th and took the tracks all the way the lake Placid train station. OMG what a trip. the trail was groomed the entire way all 109 miles (one way) . This was by far one of my best rides I have taken. I can’t tell you how great the trail was an what a great job the groomer had done. My hats off to all and I can not wait to try this route again.
Please feel free to look at and use any of my pictures from that ride.

The pics of the new signage looked great, thanks to the Snowmobile club, Chamber, and Tupper Lake Supply for getting these done. Also thanks go out to Pete Edwards for taking care of those tree/ limbs on the new trail off of Park St.. We’ll be looking forward to that new snow coming Tupper’s way soon!
