Hungry Bear Publishing is sponsoring a Food Challenge Contest for restaurants in the towns of Tupper Lake, Long Lake and Newcomb. The goal is to see who can come up with the best food challenge for their patrons.
Business Directories are Going Up Around Town
Jim Meade of Jim Meade Construction is busy installing one of the new ARISE/Tupper Lake Business Directories at Little Wolf Campground. Jim did the log framing and finishing of these series of maps, and will be installing more around town. Tom Lamere Construction also generously donated materials used in these directories.

The Tupper Lake Chamber of Commerce Monday reorganized its committee structure and approved the addition of a new board member at its regular monthly meeting.
Jim LaValley, president of ARISE, announced this week that plans to re-open Chair 3 are in the making. “I’ve talked to a lot of people and they’re saying to do this, Mr. LaValley told the Free Press on Monday. “The community wants this project development to happen. This is one small way of showing that.”

The 12th Annual Lumberjack Regatta – Sponsored by the Tupper Lake Rotary Club
The Brick Oven Café, located at 10 Cliff Avenue, across from the Post Office, is in its fifth year of operation.
Co-owners Susi and Ken Ritzenburg live in Saratoga, but are at the café most weekends, Susi in front with customers, and Ken behind the scenes in the garden.
